PRODUCT SHOW
APPLICATION
321 stainless steel contains titanium as a stabilizing element, but it is also a heat-resistant steel type, which performs much better than 316L at high temperatures. 321 stainless steel exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in various concentrations and temperatures of organic and inorganic acids, particularly in oxidizing environments, making it ideal for manufacturing wear-resistant acid containers, linings, and pipelines for wear-resistant equipment.
321 stainless steel is a Ni-Cr-Ti austenitic stainless steel. While its performance is similar to that of 304, the addition of metallic titanium enhances its resistance to grain boundary corrosion and high temperature strength by effectively controlling the formation of chromium carbide.
With superior high-temperature stress rupture and creep resistance properties compared to 304 stainless steel, 321 stainless steel is suitable for welding components used in high-temperature applications.

About STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel is a type of steel known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, making it resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water, acids, alkalis, and salts. This quality has earned it the nickname "acid-resistant steel." The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is determined by the content and type of its alloying elements.
THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF STAINLESS STEEL:
1. Ferritic stainless steel: Contains 12% to 30% chromium, offering good corrosion resistance and weldability. It is suitable for low-stress acid-resistant structures and is commonly used in high-temperature environments like the food industry and chemical plants.
2. Austenitic stainless steel: Contains over 18% chromium and around 8% nickel. It boasts good plasticity, toughness, weldability, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for various industrial and construction equipment, especially acid-resistant containers and pipelines.
3. Austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel: Combines the characteristics of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, providing superplasticity, high strength, and corrosion resistance. It is widely used in environments requiring resistance to chloride stress corrosion.
4. Martensitic stainless steel: Known for its high strength, hardness, and wear resistance, but it has poor corrosion resistance. It is often used for parts requiring superior mechanical properties like springs and turbine blades.
ADVANTAGES OF STAINLESS STEEL INCLUDE:
- Corrosion resistance: Prevents corrosion, pitting, rust, and wear, ensuring the long-term stability of structural components.
- Mechanical properties: Offers high strength, good ductility, and easy processing, suitable for complex construction and industrial needs.
- Longevity and aesthetics: Maintains appearance over time due to excellent corrosion resistance, with various surface finishes available for different design requirements.
STAINLESS STEEL FINDS TYPICAL USES IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES:
- Construction industry: Utilized in curtain walls, roofs, and side walls, with different grades chosen based on environmental conditions.
- Industrial facilities: Equipment and pipelines in highly corrosive environments like chemical plants and food factories.
- Home and daily use: Widely used in kitchen equipment, bathroom supplies, and other household items due to durability and easy maintenance.
The surface of stainless steel can be processed in different ways to achieve desired aesthetics, such as polishing, embossing, or electroplating.
Looking ahead, with advancements in production processes and technologies, stainless steel's application in the construction industry is expected to expand further, remaining a preferred choice for building materials globally due to its excellent performance and aesthetic appeal.
