Duplex 2205 stainless steel coil (standard number: ASTM A240/A240M-01) is composed of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy, and has excellent comprehensive properties. Its yield strength is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, which not only enables lightweight design but also makes it more competitive in price. 2205 stainless steel coil has excellent corrosion resistance, including strong resistance to uniform corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. It also exhibits outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments, which is significantly better than 304L, 316L and 317L. Its unique dual-phase microstructure combined with high strength allows it to perform well in corrosive environments and under dynamic loads, making it particularly suitable for demanding applications such as process equipment, chemical industry and marine engineering. 2205 stainless steel coil is particularly suitable for use in the temperature range of -50°F to +600°F, making it an ideal material choice for both durability and affordability.
