310 stainless steel is an alloy material with excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance. Its oxidation resistance mainly comes from the local oxidation of chromium, in which the chromium forms a stable chromium oxide (Cr2O3) layer. This oxide layer can effectively prevent the formation of other oxides, thereby protecting the metal surface and ensuring the stability of the metal in a high-temperature environment. Especially when the chromium content is sufficient, a continuous layer of chromium oxide green can be formed on the metal surface, which plays an important protective role for the metal.
310 stainless steel belongs to austenitic stainless steel, and its oxidation resistance is closely related to the chromium content. The chromium content of high-temperature resistant alloys is usually above 20%, which enables 310 stainless steel to maintain good performance under high temperature conditions. Compared with iron components, the use of nickel components can further improve the performance of the alloy at high temperatures. 309/309S and 310/310S are both high-alloy materials, so they have strong oxidation resistance in high-temperature environments and are widely used in high-temperature industrial fields.

About US
APPLICATION
310 stainless steel strips are widely used in many industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance and hygienic properties. In the food processing industry, it can resist the erosion of various acid and alkali solutions and will not release harmful substances. It is particularly suitable for making equipment or containers that come into contact with food to ensure the safety and quality of food.
In the medical device manufacturing industry, 310 stainless steel strips, with their high strength and impact resistance, effectively prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms, ensuring the cleanliness and reliability of medical products. For medical gloves and other auxiliary supplies that need to be exposed to the external environment for a long time, the durability and safety of this material are significantly improved.
In the field of home appliances, 310 stainless steel strips are often used in kitchen appliances such as oven trays, microwave turntables, and refrigerator internal shelves. Its elegant appearance and easy-to-clean characteristics meet the dual needs of modern homes for practicality and aesthetics, while its moisture-proof and waterproof properties also extend the service life of home appliances.
In the fields of machinery manufacturing and automobile manufacturing, 310 stainless steel strips are used to manufacture various mechanical parts, such as shafts, gears, bolts, nuts, as well as drive shafts, hubs, and engine parts. Its high strength and good processing performance ensure the safety and reliability of machinery and automobiles.
In the fields of shipbuilding and energy, 310 stainless steel strips are used in the production of hull structures and mechanical parts, as well as the construction of oil and gas pipelines and wind power towers. With its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, 310 stainless steel strips can remain stable in marine environments and high-temperature working environments, ensuring the safety and stability of related facilities.
