2205 duplex stainless steel plate is a high-strength, high-corrosion-resistant composite stainless steel alloy with excellent overall and local stress corrosion resistance. Its yield strength is more than double that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, allowing designers to reduce weight in product design while having price advantages. 2205 duplex stainless steel plate is suitable for environments with a temperature range of -50°F to +600°F. Applications outside this range can also be considered, but some restrictions need to be noted, especially in welded structures. Considering its excellent performance and scope of application, 2205 duplex stainless steel is an ideal material choice, especially for applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance.
PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
2205 duplex stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in a variety of environments. Its high chromium (22%), molybdenum (3%) and nitrogen (0.18%) content makes it more corrosion resistant than 316L and 317L in most cases. In oxidizing and acidic solutions, 2205 duplex stainless steel can effectively resist pitting and crevice corrosion. The duplex microstructure helps to improve the resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making it perform well under certain temperature, stress, oxygen and chloride conditions. In addition, 2205 duplex stainless steel has high strength and corrosion fatigue resistance, which makes it very suitable for use under corrosive environments and cyclic loading. Overall, 2205 duplex stainless steel is a high-quality material suitable for a variety of applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance.
