304N stainless steel plate (GB 0Cr19Ni9N) is an austenitic stainless steel with nitrogen added to improve the strength of the steel. By increasing the nitrogen content, 304N not only enhances the strength of the material, but also optimizes the performance without significantly affecting ductility and corrosion resistance. Its high nickel content gives 304N a low work hardening rate, making it particularly suitable for applications with high requirements for cold formability. In addition, 304N stainless steel can effectively resist the increase in magnetic permeability and is suitable for those occasions that require higher strength than 304 stainless steel.
304N stainless steel plate has excellent corrosion resistance, superior to 302 stainless steel, especially in high ductility, excellent tensile, forming and spinning properties. The material is essentially non-magnetic, but it becomes slightly magnetic during cold working. Its low carbon content helps to reduce carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone during welding and reduce the sensitivity to intergranular corrosion. 304N stainless steel is widely used in beer barrels, bellows, chemical equipment, coal hopper linings, cooling coils, cryogenic containers, dairy equipment, evaporators, water pipes, flexible metal hoses, food processing equipment, injection needles, nuclear containers, oil well filters, refrigeration equipment, paper industry, pressure vessels, sanitary fittings, valves, transport barrels, spinning, distillation pipes, textile dyeing equipment and pipes and other industries.
