AISI 444 stainless steel strip, also known as SUS444 stainless steel strip, is a highly corrosion-resistant ferritic stainless steel. It is known for its ultra-low carbon and ultra-low nitrogen properties, as well as the addition of alloying elements such as molybdenum, titanium, and niobium. These characteristics make AISI 444 exhibit better corrosion resistance than traditional ferritic stainless steel in a variety of corrosive environments. AISI 444 has excellent resistance to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, and its resistance to chloride ion pitting corrosion is better than SUS304 and comparable to SUS316L. Due to the addition of molybdenum, AISI 444 has outstanding corrosion resistance in high chloride media, and generally does not produce chloride stress corrosion cracking. In addition, AISI 444 has good processing properties and can be stretched, rolled, and stamped. Due to its ferritic structure, there is no tendency for intergranular corrosion after welding, and it can be welded using the method of welding ordinary stainless steel.
AISI 444 is widely used in food processing equipment, heat exchangers, water heater tanks, water storage tanks, solar energy collection panels, automotive parts, and corrosion-resistant parts in the chemical and petroleum industries. Its excellent corrosion resistance and good processing properties make it an ideal choice in various fields.

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
About 444
444 stainless steel strip is a high-alloy ferritic stainless steel with excellent performance advantages. Its yield strength is equivalent to 1.5 times that of carbon steel and 6 times that of fiberglass. It performs well in earthquake resistance, snow resistance, wind pressure resistance, and impact resistance. SUS444 stainless steel has high thermal conductivity and is suitable for applications such as heat exchange. It also has a small thermal expansion coefficient and is suitable for use under thermal expansion and contraction conditions.
AISI 444 stainless steel has good plasticity and toughness and is suitable for various processing and manufacturing methods. In particular, it performs best in stress corrosion resistance, and its corrosion resistance in high chloride media is better than that of ordinary ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel. After adding elements such as titanium and molybdenum, the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is improved. This type of steel can be welded using the method of welding ordinary stainless steel.
Compared with the commonly used steel type SUS430, 444 stainless steel strip has a high chromium content and alloying elements such as molybdenum. It has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion, and is even better than SUS304 and SUS316 in some areas. At the same time, stabilizing elements such as titanium, niobium and zirconium are added to make it have excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and high temperature oxidation.
444 stainless steel strip is particularly suitable for food processing equipment, heat exchangers, water heater tanks, water storage tanks, solar energy collection panels and other fields. It is a stainless steel material with excellent performance.
