AISI 202 stainless steel bar is a low-nickel and high-manganese stainless steel with a nickel content of less than 4% and a manganese content of about 8%. It is a nickel-saving material with a chemical composition of 1Cr18Mn8Ni5N. Its tensile strength is 520MPa and its cross-sectional shrinkage rate reaches 45%. Compared with 304 stainless steel bar, 202 has a higher carbon content and a slightly higher hardness, but its ductility is slightly inferior to 304, and the overall strength difference is not much. As an American standard grade, 202 stainless steel can replace 1Cr18Ni9 and has the characteristics of austenitic stainless steel. Its phase transition temperature is high, and its metallographic structure is stable at 350℃. Its performance will not change drastically, and only a small thermal expansion will occur, ensuring good high temperature resistance.
