317L stainless steel bar is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum. By adding more chromium, nickel and molybdenum, the overall corrosion resistance is improved, especially in chemical environments such as sulfurous acid, acetic acid, formic acid, citric acid and tartaric acid. The low carbon content makes it have excellent resistance to sensitization during welding, while providing higher creep strength, fracture stress and high-temperature tensile strength. It is non-magnetic in the annealed state, but may be slightly magnetic after welding. Compared with 304 alloy, 317L stainless steel bar shows stronger resistance to chemical corrosion and has significant advantages in ductility, stress corrosion resistance, pressure resistance and high-temperature strength. As a low-carbon grade stainless steel, it shows good resistance to sensitization during welding and heat treatment. Compared with 316L, 317L stainless steel bar has better seawater corrosion resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance, and is widely used in chemical transport ships, chemical reaction equipment and other industries with high corrosion resistance requirements.

APPLICATION
317L stainless steel bars are widely used in many fields due to their excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. In the chemical industry, they are often used to manufacture chemical equipment and reactors to resist the erosion of corrosive chemicals. In marine engineering, they are suitable for shipbuilding and marine environment equipment because of their good resistance to seawater corrosion. In addition, they are also used in the paper and pulp industry, textile industry, automobile manufacturing, defense industry, and construction. Its stability in high temperature environments makes it suitable for the manufacture of high temperature equipment and medical devices.
